From the coast of North Carolina comes In Shepherds Arms, the newest addition to Canada's own Harvest Earth Records. A band that relies heavily on catchy riffs, beats that get you dancin', lyrics that are Scripture heavy, with some sick breakdowns thrown in the mix, In Shepherds Arms looks forward to long-term regional, national, and international success. Attributing every aspect of progress, musically and professionally, to God's creativity and favor, the band waits with eager expectation for the road ahead. Believing the best lyrics come from God Himself, In Shepherds Arms doesn't shy away from words that truly make changes in lives. The absolute necessity of truth that's not relative is the banner held high by these five young men. "When you deliberately write scripture out as gang vocals, whether the kid in the crowd has a relationship with God or not, he's going to be screaming scripture," says Phil Routszong, the band's bassist. "Jesus said the truth will make you free, nothing else. That Word begins to settle in the mind and in the spirit of the ones who listen. It's one of the best ways I can think of to get people, saved or not, memorizing the Word. I love it." With musical influences ranging from Comeback Kid, Jesus Wept and Death before Dishonor to Means, War of Ages, and Hand to Hand, the development of ISA's own sound will be a delight to discover. Their much anticipated full length debut from Harvest Earth Records is due out in 2008. Until then, fans will have to get their kicks from the five song EP "Armor of God" released earlier this year.
